We offer degrees by research in underwater acoustics, acoustical oceanography and animal bioacoustics. In particular, research at our centre includes: marine soundscapes, underwater ambient noise, noise and vibration from man-made structures and operations, noise impacts on marine fauna (whales, dolphins, fishes, turtles, crustaceans, shellfish, plankton), acoustic ecology (marine mammals and fishes), sound propagation in the ocean, acoustic signal processing (detection, classification, localisation, tracking), underwater acoustic communication, defence acoustics, and sonar imaging (seafloor and biomass).
