The Sound and Acoustics Engineer from UDLA, designs and implements solutions based on electro-acoustic foundation, as well as healthy and comfortable acoustic spaces. Using technological resources of audio recording, sound reinforcement, acoustic instrumentation, simulation tools and programming. Manages acoustic and sound engineering projects, approaching planning stages, operation and evaluation, applying different types of research to optimize products, services or processes, through autonomous work in multidisciplinary teams with innovation capacity, entrepreneurship and effective communication.

El Ingeniero en Sonido y Acústica diseña e implementa soluciones enfocadas a cadenas electroacústicas, así como a espacios auditivamente saludables y confortables. Utiliza los recursos tecnológicos de grabación, refuerzo sonoro, instrumentación acústica, herramientas de simulación y programación. Gestiona proyectos de ingeniería acústica y de sonido, abordando etapas de planificación, operación y evaluación, por medio de la realización de diferentes tipos de investigación para optimizar productos, servicios o procesos, a través del trabajo autónomo en equipos multidisciplinarios con capacidad de innovación, emprendimiento y comunicación efectiva.
Funding is available from the Acoustical Society of America through a program of fellowships, scholarships, prizes, grants, and student and young professional awards.
There are also funding opportunities that are offered in connection with meetings of the Society including Student Travel Grants, Best Paper Awards for Students and Young Presenters, Young Investigator Travel Grants and Dependent Care Subsidies.
The Committee on International Research and Education oversees the International Student Grants program as well as sponsorship of Specialty Symposia in Acoustics.
