The major in speech and hearing provides education in the normal processes of speech, language, and hearing, and an introduction to communication disorders. The MA program in speech-language pathology (SLP) at Indiana University is designed so that students will be able to practice as speech-language pathologists upon completion of the program. The AuD program at Indiana University is a three-year accelerated program that enables students to practice as clinical audiologists. The focus of the PhD program is to train students for research positions in university, clinical, or industrial settings.
